I think If team work together this team win,If team don't work together (for example:One player doesn't want give pass,he is did one this team is lose.I think If you has team you must work together,because it is very important and for you and for the team.
If I have my basketball team I always help my players and me and my team win. Of course, I and my team have moment when my team lose. But more moments I and my team win. I think that you help your team because if you help your team you have more chance to win.
